Surgery Group surgeons
Mr. Harris Haseeb, commonly known as Dr. Harris is one of the few NHS plastic surgeons performing hair transplant surgery in the UK. His background in plastic surgery gives him a unique perspective on the aesthetics of hair transplants.
Dr. Harris qualified in 1988 and after basic surgical training acquired the highest surgical qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. He has been a fellow of this college since 1993.
During his plastic surgery training he worked throughout the UK and Ireland. He became familiar with the latest techniques in hair transplant surgery when he worked at the Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury. During his time at Aylesbury he was inspired by Mr. Bruce Bailey, who was the burns surgeon there and was well known for his reconstruction skills. This was a pivotal point in Dr. Harris’s career, which set him on the path in becoming a leading hair transplant surgeon in the UK.
Dr. Harris performed his first independent hair transplant in 1996, and since that time he has performed over 3000 procedures. His techniques have ranged from the old plug techniques of the past to Juri’s flaps and tissue expansion. Now he performs both Follicular Unit Transplants (FUT, commonly known as strip) and the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).
As these techniques have developed he has advanced with them keeping him at the forefront of his profession. He has worked at various clinics in the UK including Mapperley Park Clinic in Nottingham where his details can still be found.
Since he joined the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), he has been regularly involved in keeping his skills up to date through attending their educational meetings. He is also a full member of British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery (BAHRS), which is heavily involved in regulating doctors performing hair transplant surgery in the UK. He has been regularly attending their meetings including the ones organised by Farjo in Manchester and Ziering Medical in the West Midlands. His details can be found on ISHRS and BAHRS website.
Dr. Harris’ hair restoration procedures are done with the utmost expertise; in clinical surroundings and with a team of dedicated professionals. He has numerous testimonials from his patients endorsing the excellent work that he has done.
Dr. Haseeb (or Mr. Haseeb in the NHS) is employed at The University Hospital in Nottingham as a plastic surgeon. He is very much involved in hair transplants for burns victims and people with other atypical hair losses.

Regarding COVID19, we are working with selected COVID-protected facilities who have now reopened. These clinics have started a phased return model for a new normal with various safety measures in place including a limited number of procedures, reduced footfall through the clinic and enhanced PPE for staff. On the day, you will be asked to complete a COVID questionnaire and have your temperature taken on entry, as well as being asked to wash your hands. You will be asked to wear a face mask so that theoretically you are protected and you protect staff members in case anyone happens to be positive whilst asymptomatic.
Surgery Group have adopted guidelines from the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery for use in all clinics taking into account UK law and each clinic has completed a COVID19 risk assessment of the patient journey through the clinic and taken steps to minimise risk, and we hope that by doing so, the risk of contracting coronavirus is significantly less than your weekly supermarket shop, however, it is not possible to guarantee that the risk of catching it is zero, such as in the nature of the virus.
To be clear, the government’s advice for the time being remains to stay at home unless you need to leave the house for one of 4 reasons including “any medical need” –
Without specific national guidance on hair transplant clinics, we deem it safe to offer the service in a limited capacity with the measures we have taken, but it is up to you to decide if leaving the house to attend a hair transplant clinic constitutes a “medical need”.
