Book your consultation with the surgeon at their own UK Clinics. Not all surgeons are available in every location but we will help you to see the right specialist as close to home as possible.
All surgeons hold reputable memberships in the industry, including GMC, AACS, ISHRS, RCS and The Medical Council.
Experienced medical consultants will carefully guide you to choose the best type of treatment for your needs.
Every patient is precious and that’s why we offer unlimited support, from the first call to the carefully tailored aftercare plan. This is not just some fluff we stick on our website; we mean it.
Most procedures take between 4 and 8 hours depending on the number of grafts involved and the complexity of the treatment plan. One thing is for certain. We never rush your procedure and we only have one patient at a time so it will take as long as it takes to get the best outcome.
The procedure itself is painless. The surgeon will inject your scalp with local anaesthetic before we begin. We administer baby needles first of all to numb the area before the actual needles these days so the main injections don’t really hurt much and hardly anybody starts crying. If you’ve ever had a tattoo then this will be a walk in the park. Can feel a bit raw afterwards, especially in the donor area but this usually subsides within a couple of days.
We all heal differently but in general terms you’ll be able to feel a bit of fuzz after about 3 months and most of the hair should be visible after around 6 months. It’s common to be a bit underwhelmed with the progress after 6 months or so but things will continue to thicken up for the next year or so and you’ll see continued improvement. It is not possible to implant the same density of grafts that you were born with so it’s important to manage your expectations and not not to allow yourself to fall for any sales patter.
Transplanted hair is guaranteed to grow for life. We take the donor grafts from the permanent zone at the back of your head.
A graft usually contains 2 hairs. Sometimes there is only 1 hair in a graft and sometimes there are 3.
You will achieve an average of 2.1 hairs per graft. Do not be misled.
An important aspect of any hair transplant is the transection rate. This is the percentage of grafts that are damaged during the extraction process. We examine the extracted grafts under a microscope and if the transection rate rises above 2% we halt the procedure and re-examine our technique and instruments to ensure that we are doing all that we can to protect each precious graft.
You will not average more than 2 hairs per graft, despite what you may have heard elsewhere
Hopefully one procedure will be enough. Transplanted grafts will be there for life, but a hair transplant does not stop ongoing hair loss, so ways to keep your existing hair should be discussed. We include long term support to help you to manage any ongoing hair loss.
Patients who are having an FUE procedure need to shave the back of the head so that we can accurately extract the grafts. You do not need to shave the recipient area but it does make it easier to place the grafts if you shave your whole head.
If you are having FUT surgery you do not need to shave your head.
You will always have a chance to chat with your surgeon and to visit the clinic before booking your hair transplant. We will coordinate with the medical team to produce an accurate treatment plan to ensure that everything is agreed in advance of your surgery date. Don’t book a hair transplant without first speaking to the surgeon who will be performing your procedure.

We guarantee that at least 95% of the new grafts will grow successfully. Sometimes people don’t get a great result for one reason or another and we are pretty much no quibble when it comes to retreating when necessary. Sometimes patients will want to add a little more density to their hairline and we are always happy to offer these small thickening procedures at a fair price for our exsiting customers.
You will receive comprehensive aftercare instructions and plenty of support during the 2 weeks following your procedure. No strenuous activity for a fortnight, and no touching the new grafts. Lay off the booze for a week, and it’s Netflix with no chill!
You should not go near a sun bed for at least 6 months. In fact, you really shouldn’t go on a sun bed ever again, they are bad for you
*The number of grafts that we can extract in a single session is determined by the quality and density of your donor area. We will not over-harvest your precious donor area and there will be no discernible signs of thinning after your procedure.
For crown thinning, If you have a hair transplant but don’t take steps to manage the ongoing hair loss you can end up with a lovely tuft of hair in the middle of your crown looking like palm trees on the moon.
Sapphire blades are preferred by some surgeons and we are happy to offer Sapphire FUE if that’s what floats your boat.
DHI (Direct Hair Implantation).
We offer DHI with an experienced surgeon and team. You will still need to shave your donor area.
