Dr. Ismail is a practicing brain surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. His role as Consultant Neurosurgeon has enabled his pioneering work on ‘the awake craniotomy surgery program’ and has seen him featured in many UK newspapers as well as the BBC documentary Surgeons: At the Edge of Life.
