The whole experience was fantastic from…
The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. I was looked after talk through the whole procedure little nervous as expected going into the unknown, but trust me I would never look back. It’s been 11 months now and I have a full head of hair. and there’s still time For more to come through to make it that thicker team are great.

Very impressed with what happened up in…
Very impressed with the hair transplant at SurgeryGroup in Nottingham. It was carried out by Dr Ahmad Noussa and his team there. I had the hair transplant procedure at the crown on August 23rd, three weeks ago.
My head was shaved on the day so be prepared to live with the consequences of that for a month or so afterwards.

11 month post transplant - honest review.
Late 2020 I was driving back from London and stopped to buy a coke. I happened to have a bandage on my head (long story) and the guy at the till asked if I’d had a hair transplant. “A what?” I said.
He rubbed his head and showed off his hair as he explained that he’d been to Turkey and had hair follicles taken from the back of his head and transplanted to the top.

Equally as impressive the second time…
Equally as impressive the second time around.
This time I went back for a partial beard transplant, arrived and greeted warmly along with two techs and Dr Ahmad Moussa, having used Dr Moussa before I wanted him to preform my second surgery. He’s very open, willing to work with you at every turn and won’t make anything happen until you as the patient are happy with it.

It has been a year today since I received my hair transplant treatment of surgery group and I can honestly say I am extremely happy with the result and the quality of care during the procedure, before and after, especially from Matthew, Jake and the other staff involved. How long is the recovery period?
Most people are back to light work within a week. Avoid heavy training for 10–14 days. Small scabs form in the donor and recipient areas and usually fall away naturally within the first fortnight.
When will I see the final results?
Transplanted hairs shed in the first 2–4 weeks. New growth starts around month 3.
You’ll see real improvement by month 6, with full results between 12–18 months.
Is the procedure painful?
No. We use local anaesthetic, so the scalp is numb throughout.
You’ll feel a quick sting with the first injection, then the day is comfortable.
How do I know how many grafts I will need?
It depends on your pattern of loss, the size of the area and your density goals.
It’s also influenced by graft size, so we refine your plan on the day to get the best coverage. We never guess numbers over the phone.
Are the transplanted hairs permanent?
Yes. Grafts come from the safe donor zone at the back and sides of the head.
These follicles are genetically resistant to DHT, so they should last for life.
What is the difference between FUE and FUT?

FUT: a thin strip removed then dissected under a microscope, useful for high graft counts.
